The Beck Family Foundation is built on the belief that real change starts with opportunity.
We invest in people, ideas, and organizations that help individuals and communities thrive—removing barriers, expanding access, and creating lasting impact. As a family, we’ve always believed in showing up, listening first, and supporting work that leads to meaningful, sustainable change. Whether it’s ensuring access to education, standing up for dignity and inclusion, or strengthening communities, we focus on practical, thoughtful giving that helps people build their own path forward.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
The Beck Family Foundation began with Scott and Cheri Beck. We believe in generosity and in taking care of others — through volunteering, charitable giving, and often, simple acts of kindness. These are values passed down from our parents, and ones we’ve worked to instill in our own children — and hopefully, future generations.
As our children, Thomas and Katie, grew older, we had the privilege of traveling the world as a family. Those experiences expanded our worldview and opened our eyes to the fact that not everyone has access to basic needs like healthcare, education, housing, food, and clean water. They also created opportunities to do something about it.
Our journey began in Kenya and has since expanded to India, Haiti, and beyond — including right here in our local communities of Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah.
As a family, we’re deeply proud of where we’ve been and excited about where we’re going. Our guiding principles are strong — and so is our intention to make the world a better place.
