MENTAL HEALTH
“In our family, we believe that mental and physical health are equally essential pillars of comprehensive well-being. We recognize that nobody can thrive or explore their full potential when they are struggling simply to survive—whether those struggles are physical or mental.
By removing barriers to care and ensuring access to the highest standard of support, we can foster resilience, dignity, and opportunity, empowering individuals to meet life’s challenges and pursue their potential without sacrificing their passions or happiness for stability.
As a Foundation, it is my hope that our investment in comprehensive well-being will help foster communities where every person has the care, security, and opportunity they need to grow, heal, and live fully.”
– Thomas Beck
Mental health is just as important as physical health, but stigma and systemic barriers keep too many people from getting the support they need. We focus on breaking down barriers to access, ensuring more people can reach quality mental healthcare, regardless of background or circumstance.
Our investments prioritize:
Expanding access to care. We support programs that connect people to the right resources—whether through clinics, digital tools, or innovative service models.
Early interventions for youth. Mental health challenges often begin in childhood. We invest in efforts that equip young people with tools to manage their well-being before issues escalate.
Research-driven solutions. We support work that improves access at scale, utilizing data and innovation to enhance the effectiveness and accessibility of mental healthcare.
We’re focusing efforts this year in the United States, learning from experts and organizations on the ground before expanding our reach. Our goal is to make mental healthcare easier to access now while laying the groundwork for lasting change.

Lenny Learning empowers educators with the training and tools they need to improve student wellness.
-
We were struck by the power of Lenny Learning’s tool, Lenny, to bring mental health resources into classrooms in a way that works for both students and educators. By creating personalized lesson plans that meet several needs at once, teachers can address the unique challenges their students face—while still meeting demanding curriculum standards. It’s a simple but profound way to empower educators and support students’ well-being without taking away from critical instructional time.

Closegap’s mission is to ensure every young person has access to emotional support from trusted adults and bite-sized mental health resources that help them reflect and grow.
-
Public schools are doing their best under immense pressure, but no teacher or counselor can know every student’s needs on any given day. That’s why we chose to support Closegap. With a simple, age-appropriate daily check-in, educators and counselors can quickly see who most needs their attention. This small step opens the door for students to build relationships with trusted adults and get help when they need it most.
HEALTHCARE
Good health is the foundation for everything else in life, but for too many, quality, affordable care is out of reach. We invest in organizations that ensure people get the care they need, when and where they need it.
Our focus includes:
Primary and preventative care. Vaccinations, check-ups, and basic healthcare prevent small issues from becoming life-threatening.
Urgent and emergency medical support. In crisis, healthcare can’t wait—we back efforts that meet people where they are.
Health education and empowerment. Knowledge is as critical as medicine, equipping people to manage their own health.
We take a local and global approach, supporting care in Park City, Utah while investing in organizations serving the highest-need communities worldwide.
Ultimately, we see healthcare as a fundamental human right; it is the bedrock upon which opportunity, dignity, and prosperity are built.

Last Mile Health works with governments to build and strengthen community-based health systems that bring care to people living far from traditional clinics. By professionalizing, training, and supporting community health workers, they ensure life-saving care reaches communities that would otherwise be left behind.

We were drawn to Last Mile Health for their commitment to strengthening national health systems by professionalizing and supporting community health workers. Their model is built around a core set of principles that emphasizes strong training, fair pay, high-quality data systems, and government partnership. This combination helps countries deliver care reliably to families living far from clinics. We appreciate how Last Mile Health not only reaches remote communities but also helps transform how health systems function for the long term.

International Medical Relief partners with local health systems to deliver medical care, training, and resources to communities facing critical healthcare gaps. Through repeated, long-term engagement, their teams provide direct care, strengthen local capacity, and help ensure patients receive continuity of treatment well beyond a single medical mission.
-
International Medical Relief stands out for how thoughtfully they partner with local government health systems to identify communities that can benefit most from additional support. Their model is not limited to short-term medical trips. Instead, they return to the same communities over multiple years, follow cases over time, and ensure continuity of care. We value this commitment to building trust, reinforcing local capacity, and showing up in a way that is coordinated, consistent, and grounded in partnership rather than one-off intervention.
